DEVELOPMENT

This is a screen shot of my translation and rotational drawing, as the mouse moves the drawing follows and rotates/spins. this creates a nice visual as well because of the fading effect in the background.

this is a screen shot of the spinning wheel with a frame rate of 9, this creates an interesting interaction because of how the movement of the drawing wheel is delayed and creates a feeling that the wheel is chasing the mouse.

Experimenting

I was experimenting here with bringing in different areas on the application, so that as the mouse is moved across the page the computer interacts back and changes what happens in different areas.

for this application I was experimenting with an interesting unexpected visual which is created by the user moving the mouse and then another shape copying the movement of the mouse but on the opposite side

In this application I successfully developed my drawing application to fade as the drawing follows the mouse.

Interesting Interaction examples

I like this interactive application because of the fluid movement and how the user has an input by clicking and creating more colour within the fliud.

I think this application is interesting because of the delayed movement, I like the interaction of how the user can move their mouse and the 'ghost' follows.

PROJECT TWO

EVALUATION

For this project I wanted to communicate structure through perspective. I found inspiration through the structures and patterns within nature. I think that my eight images illustrate these aspects because the different sizes (of the ellipses), stroke weights, transparency, variables and patterns that are formed through these methods of change create a completely different perspective to the one before.
The perspective I wanted viewers to gain is that we are surrounded by structure, and that there is beauty within the simplest or most complicated structure. I also wanted each viewer to see different structures through their different perspectives. I think that my images hold a small natural look, I i like how the different stroke weights and ellipse sizes create a delicateness within them.

Choosing finals

I printed out the images that i thought illustrated the best structure that I wanted to show and
then went through the process of choosing which were my best eight.
I was also experimenting with which  eight images worked well as a series and which eight looked best to show what i wanted to communicate through structure

DEVELOPMENT

In my development I was experimenting with different sizes, stroke weights,
transparencies. through my experimenting I wanted to show how these elements can changes
perspective. I also was experimenting with how changing these different element can create an illusion within the structure.

here I was experimenting with stroke weight. I think that this image works well because it
emphasises the structure and helps people to look for more patterns.
I also think that it emphasis the delicacy within the pattern.

this experiment is using a very light stroke weight , it sort of creates a ghostly feel.

these above two images are examples of change in transparency,
I think that the change in transparency gives a more darker feel  and
that it makes the structure look less delicate.
